Isabella told me that she was one of two in her class who were "sad" about not going to school tomorrow - such the girly swot!!
She was a hit amongst her mates today as she had a plate of Anzacs to share, by way of an Australia Day celebration.
She also took in some Australian coins, a Mem Fox story about a bilby, called "Hunwick's Egg", which her teacher read, and a few interesting facts to share, including ...
I'm suddenly panicking that we'll run out of food over the next two days - so "poor" Dave's gone off for supplies.
And now for the weather!!
As Melburnians, we tend to be a little obsessed about the weather, so these past couple of days have been rather exciting for us - checking and re-checking the local weather reports for hour-by-hour updates.
We've spent all day inside waiting for the snow, and eventually had to promise Isabella at her bedtime that we'd wake her up to see snow if and when it eventuates ...
At 9pm tonight!! (Poor Daniel will just have to wait until tomorrow morning.)
It's only 9.30pm and they've forecast snowfall until 8am, so stay tuned for an updated pic!! (That's my poor, frozen little baby, bottom left.)
Just as well we're not going anywhere tomorrow ...
